Hello, everyone. It’s been a while 👋
I’ve been meaning to share this for quite some time. First during the holiday break, and later before the end of the year, then within the first week of the new year, and now, here we are and it's the end of January…
2024 was a big year for me personally, but a tough year for me professionally. As any business owner/operator can attest to, it’s very hard to separate work life from regular life. Identities merge, responsibilities overlap, and achieving inbox zero feels like capturing unicorn — impossible.
Couple that with being too involved with too many things - from other businesses to sitting on boards, or developing new services and solutions - it's easy to feel like the world is squeezing you from all angles.
So for the past 6-ish months, I basically disappeared from everything that was not immediately in front of me. Hobbies, social media, fave sports teams, even family and friends - so many things got pushed to the side as I navigated the expectations of taking on way too many responsibilities all at once.
The challenges came from a variety of moments and situations - some times great, other times not so great - and with each moment I was left questioning myself, my knowledge, my abilities, and my decisions.
And now, looking back at all of the chaos, I’m reminded of how fortunate I am to have been a part of all of the amazing opportunities and experiences I encountered throughout 2024 - many of which were things I had never experienced before, which in turn is what made the year so damn challenging. And overall, that’s a very fortunate position to be in.
And time flies! How did we already get to the end of January?!
A big shout out to the Oxenfree Film & Motion team. I just celebrated 4 years officially with the team on January 18th, and 2025 is shaping up to continue on the path of growth we've been fortunate to be on the past few years. Lots of changes, lots of updates, and of course, more amazing clients, agencies, and projects to support. Thank you to Ben Gill and everyone with the team who is helping Oxenfree grow to levels that were once thought out of reach 💙
And another big shout out to the board and committee members of AAF Orlando. We’re all hard at work prepping for The 58th Orlando American Advertising Awards, so I look forward to celebrating with you all on February 22nd!

Lastly, I just hung out with my parents, and my mom was telling me a story about how as a kid I was complaining during our summer camping trip to Mt. Vernon, the Blue Ridge and Shenandoah Parkway. Apparently it wasn't until this camera got in my hands did I stop complaining and enjoy the views. 📹
So with all that I’ll say: Hi, and it’s nice to be back. 🙂
I hope you had an amazing holiday season, a great start to 2025, and I look forward to reconnecting with you soon!
